There’s nothing that rings in a special occasion quite like a spectacular display of fireworks, and here in Dubai you have loads of chances to see the sky light up this coming week.

Whether you’re shopping, dining or chilling out by the seaside, there’s a heap of displays to celebrate Eid al-Adha, which starts on Tuesday August 21.
Here’s where to head next week.

Dubai Festival City
No matter where you stand along Festival Bay to watch a spectacular fireworks display, you’ll always have a fantastic view.

This Eid, there’ll be two sets of dazzling firework displays over two consecutive days at Dubai Festival City Mall, and we are ready to ooh and ahh like there’s no tomorrow.

Taking place at 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Wednesday August 22 and Thursday August 23 along the waterfront, guests can also expect a Ping Fong and Baby Shark singalong shows making their Dubai debut on Friday August 24 and Saturday August 25 at 5pm and 8pm.

The Beach
If you fancy lounging along a beach while watching a wonderful display of colours light up the night sky, then best head over to The Beach opposite JBR.

From Tuesday August 21 to Thursday August 23, visitors can expect a daily firework display from 9.15pm onwards.

Need more of a reason to spend the evening there? Shoppers will be delighted to know that the three day festival will include discounts of up to 50 percent on dining, shopping and entertainment.

Places such as Baruni and Muji will be putting special promotions just for the occasion, along with restaurants such as Butcha Steakhouse and Grill offering a selection of different quality meats for a limited time.

Al Seef
Pick a spot along the 1.8km Creekside promenade at Al Seef and witness an array of colours light up Dubai Creek.

Al Seef will host a firework display that promises to light up the sky, and your night while you explore an older part of Dubai or shop around the souks. Taking place over three days, be sure to get yourself down there at 9pm each night.

La Mer
Boasting laid-back vibes and a plethora of chic restaurants to dine in before an illuminating firework show, La Mer invites friends and families to gather together to enjoy an amazing performance of colours dance in the night sky.
Free. Tue Aug 21-Thu Aug 23. 9pm onwards. La Mer, Jumeriah 1, www.lamerdubai.ae (04 317 3999).

Meanwhile, if you fancy a trip to Sharjah, Al Majaz Waterfront is also putting on a show.

The display will take place at 9pm on Tuesday August 21 and Wednesday August 22, and the three-minute spectacle will be over the Sharjah Musical Fountain.

“Eid Al Adha is an occasion of joy and celebration for the entire family, especially children,” said Marwa Obaid Al Shamsi, manager of Al Majaz Waterfront.

“Majaz Waterfront will be celebrating with all its visitors through an exceptional fireworks display, an absolute crowd-puller that residents eagerly wait to witness every year.”
