Dubai set to become 'global capital' for luxury yachts

Anyone fancy a boat party?

We love a good yacht here in Dubai, and now the city is poised to become the global capital for luxury yacht marinas.

Dubai property giants Meraas and Dubai Holding have recently partnered with D-Matin, operator of the chain of marinas in the Eastern Mediterranean, to manage world-class marinas in Dubai.

And the opening of the new Dubai Harbour development next year will double the number of berths available in the UAE – just in case we weren’t swanky enough.

The new agreement aims to attract international investments in the yacht sector to promote Dubai as the “preferred destination for luxury yachting and boating international”.

And with Dubai’s sprawling marinas and year-round sunshine, we can’t see that being a problem.

The joint venture will manage and operate the existing and future marinas being developed by Meraas and Dubai Holding, including marinas in Port de la Mer, Dubai Harbour and Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
