There’s nothing that quite says “weekend vibes” like a sunny day at a farmer’s market, especially if it offers fresh food, a selection of beverages and is completely free to enter.
Zabeel House by Jumeirah The Greens has launched a brand-new “Weekender” event, showcasing fresh farm-to-table dishes, a list of ingredients to buy and plenty of talks and interactive sessions with chefs and food experts.
Taking place every Saturday from 10am until 4pm, the event is completely free to enter and gives foodies a chance to learn all about local food from selected traders, each with their own expertise in sustainable and ethical produce.
Not only will there be “rare ingredients” on offer, but specially set up food and beverage stalls will be delivering seasonal foods that are “farm fresh to table.” And you can wash it all down with a selection of hops and grape.
Want to touch up on your cooking skills? There will also be a curated programme of talks and interactive sessions with chefs and food experts on show, and fun-filled events just for the little ones.
It all takes place on the fourth floor outdoor terrace of Zabeel House by Jumeirah The Greens, so prepare for those al fresco vibes.
Born through “a love of markets,” the Weekender will go on until Saturday May 4, so make sure you’re down there before the summer kicks in.
For more info about the event, call 04 519 1111 or visit the events Facebook page.
Speaking of weekend markets, the Ripe Market is still taking place every weekend until the end of April, and you can now check it out at the Dubai Police Academy Park in Umm Suqeim.
Dubai will see a number of its outdoor events close for summer, but Global Village has extended its current season until Saturday April 13 due to popular demand.
We’ll see you there.
Free entry. Until Sat May 4. Every Sat 10am-4pm. Zabeel House by Jumeirah The Greens, www.zabeelhouse.com (04 519 1111).
