Fancy a night out in the city with a difference? Well, it’s time to get off the couch and explore these alternative spots.

Smash your way into the weekend, or riddle yourself in alternative reality – or perhaps you fancy defying gravity in an adrenaline-fuelled trampoline park.

Whatever you’re looking for, here are nine of the top spots that are open late at night.

QueClub Café
If you're a gamer, or just enjoy stepping into the virtual world, then this funky gaming café is a great spot that’s open until the early hours.
The venue hosts several tournaments offering a social gaming experience – and what’s more, it boasts some of the best billiards tables in town.

Rails Dubai
Want to win some prizes? This new spot has you covered, as every computer rental comes with special coins that can be traded in for prizes or for more gaming.

Table football, pool table, console and PC gaming are all available here as well as cheap food from the café – so round up some buddies, grab a soda and get gaming.

Escape Reality
This alternative reality environment will put you and your team to task, with only one mission – to escape.

Behind each door lies puzzles that require teamwork to solve, from defeating vampires to surviving the zombie apocalypse. Immerse yourself in this team building exercise as you go up against the clock.

Bounce Dubai
Put your aerial acrobatic skills to the test at this urban indoor playground, which houses more than 100 interconnected trampolines.

If you're looking for a spot for a kick-about, then you can also test your hardcore B-boy skills while completing a slam dunk, or defy gravity as you run up the walls rebounding from high-performance trampolines.

Sharjah Paintball Park
Bring out your inner soldier while stepping into the battle scene while tackling a range of scenarios on the indoor and outdoor fields.

The Smash Room
Want to knock off that stress? Well, here’s a chance to feel better with every whack of the bat.

Set up in an old warehouse, get ready to crush some concrete walls, old TVs and appliances. Maybe a bat is your weapon, or the heavy sledgehammer – and once you’ve made up your mind, it’s smash time.

Dubai Bowling Centre
Dubai Bowling Centre brings classic arcade games back to life with the DBC Arcade, giving you the best of classic and future gaming experiences.

Add a bit of a retro taste to get your weekend rolling at Dubai Bowling Centre’s 16 professional bowling lanes, with giant screens playing films to enjoy between turns.

Unwind Speciality Board Game Café
Bond with friends over some quality board games at this cool café in Dubai. There are more than 500 games to choose from and some bites to enjoy as well.

Chillout Ice lounge
Beat the heat in this freezing cold lounge, which features ice sculptures and an illuminated interior all at sub-zero temperatures.
But don't worry, because there are plenty of hot drinks and meals at this icy escape to ease the chills.
