Are you the competitive type? Well now’s your chance to get down to a fast-paced game of Cluedo.

On Friday (May 24) Jameel arts Centre and Boardgame space are hosting a board game night where you can play classics like carrom or backgammon or try your hand at some brand new games against your opponents.

While you’re there you’ll be able to peruse the art centre’s vest art collection, which sounds like the perfect way to cool down should the competition get heated.

If you’re bonkers about board games then there’s another newly-opened spot in the city you’ll want to check out.

Unwind Café, on Hessa Street, is now open – and it’s a specialty board game café.

At Unwind you’ll be able to choose from more than 500 board games to keep you entertained, so whether you’re a whizz at Scrabble or a fan of Ludo you’ll be in luck.

Unwind comes from brother and sister, Vaihundan and Hamsa Paramalingam, along with their friend, Saifur Rahman. Being born and bred in Dubai, the three of them saw an opportunity to revive the board gaming culture.

We’re full on-board… (sorry).
Free. Fri May 24, 9.30pm-midnight. Jameel Arts Centre, Dubai Creek, www.jameelartscentre.org.
