Here’s how you can perform at Yasalam 2019 in Abu Dhabi

Forget singing in the shower and playing air guitar, the search for the next big talent in the UAE is underway.

So if you’re a singer, musician or performer then listen up.

The Emerging Talent Competition has launched in Abu Dhabi, inviting musicians to apply and show their talent to get a moment in the spotlight during one of the biggest music events of the year in the capital.

Celebrating homegrown talent and giving aspiring artists the chance to perform at Yasalam 2019, the annual competition is searching for the best and the bold to step forward and be noticed.

To enter singers and bands need to upload their music, images and demos through the Yasalam website before September 30.

Once all the entries are submitted a judging panel brimming with industry specialists will select ten acts to participate in the competition.

All the chosen acts will then undergo a four-week training camp and mentorship programme to help refine skills, showmanship and creativity.

Then acts will perform an acoustic set in front of a live crowd before three finalists will be chosen to progress in the competition.

The final three will then be tasked with performing at the grand finale at du Arena where the winner will be named and will get the opportunity to perform at one of the Yasalam After Race concerts among other prizes.

So far only one concert has been confirmed this year where Travis Scott will entertain the crowd on November 29.
