You can now buy tickets for Red Hot Chili Peppers' Abu Dhabi gig

Get your debit cards at the ready - tickets for Red Hot Chili Peppers' Abu Dhabi gig are now on sale.

Last week we told you that the band were coming to the UAE capital as part of the massive UFC 242 event.

The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi are calling the seven-day series of events Showdown Week. As well as UFC 242 there will be food and drinks deals around the city and two huge concerts, of which this is one.

The band are set to perform on Wednesday September 4 at a purpose-built indoor arena on Yas Island.

The second concert will take place the following night, an announcement on that is due in the coming weeks.

People were asked to register their interest in tickets before they went on sale, and those that did have been rewarded with a link meaning they can cadd a code and buy them.

Tickets start from Dhs250, with different categories available at Dhs350, Dhs450, Dhs595 and Dhs695, before you get to a Dhs995 platinum standing ticket.

The website also says that general ticket sales begin on July 30 at noon, so everyone else can head back to the site then.

UFC 242 will take place on September 7, with a headline bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier being the main draw. Most tickets are now sold out, but there are still a few hotel and show packages available.
