A country musical festival is coming to Dubai

Love line dancing and all things country? Well get ready to dust off those cowboy boots as a country music festival is coming to Dubai’s QE2.

From Thursday October 24 until Saturday October 26, head to the historic luxury-cruise-ship-turned-floating-hotel for a weekend packed full of country music, food and fun.

And the most exciting news for country music fans? Country legend Peter Donegan has been confirmed to perform. The musician, singer and songwriter was born in London and raised in California and is also the son of the late Lonnie Donegan – one of Britain's most successful and influential recording artists before The Beatles came along.

Tickets will be on sale soon so watch this space.

Yee-haw.

One of the most beloved children's classics of all time is also coming to Theatre by QE2 in October – find out more here and what’s more, until the end of September the iconic cruise liner is offering up a top summer staycation deal for families.
From Dhs180. Thu Oct 24-Sat Oct 26. QE2, Port Rashid, www.theatrebyqe2.com (04 330 3457).
