Dubai’s Laguna Waterpark is now licensed, and is throwing four massive Caribbean parties

Laguna Waterpark is going to be getting into the Caribbean way of life for the next couple of months, with four weekends of festivities planned to help you kick-start the winter season in style.

Found at La Mer, the waterpark has announced four Caribbean festivals will take place on Friday nights through September and October – and it includes the opening of a newly licensed rooftop bar in the park.

Taking place on Friday September 20, and Friday October 4, 11 and 18, Caribbean Fest will see Dhs99 reduced-fee entry throughout the day (instead of the usual Dhs125 on the door entry), from 10am until 8pm, followed by an after-party at the rooftop bar with views out over the waterpark and Arabian Gulf.

There’s going to be live DJs, drummers, on top of the after-party, which will run from 8.30pm until midnight. Plus, there’s going to be a special Afro Fit dance class for each event, with room for 30 people to sign up for the 35-minute class, that happens to be free to attend. It’s first come, first served, so head along early to guarantee your place.

Alternatively, you can try learning to surf, on the waterpark’s huge 180-degree surf machine.

We can’t think of many better ways to mark the return of the winter season, so start planning your weekends now and make the most of the return to cooler climes.

Dhs99. Fri Sep 20, Oct 4, 11, 18; 10am-midnight. Laguna Waterpark, La Mer, Jumeirah 1
