Dubai’s new festival, designed to support ‘industry growth and talent development in the media’ and beyond, is offering creavtives throughout the city an opportunity to showcase their abilities. It’s time to get to work, artists.
Talented artists will get a chance to showcase their works of art to an audience of industry specialists, investors and consumers on one of the three zones located in the outdoor ‘Festival Square’ and indoor ‘Studio’ areas.
The open-call is split into four categories including film, game, video and music, for content in a range of forms and languages across various themes, topics and narratives.
That means everything including documentaries, short form films and videos, as well as video game trailers and demos, musical compositions and live performance footage.
“One of the aims of ON.DXB is to attract and empower the best local and regional talent,” said managing director of Dubai Media City Majed Al Suwaidi.
“By offering our greatest creative minds a platform to show their work to industry decision-makers, specialists, leading international companies and investors, we are stimulating partnership-building and development while reaffirming Dubai’s position as a global and regional capital for major creative talent.”
Now’s the time to show the industry what you’ve got, and to sign up, creators must submit up to three minutes of sample work at www.ondxbfest.com.
The top 20 selected across all four categories will be invited to be part of the festival, taking place from Thursday November 21 until Saturday 23.
