The resort now has the ‘World’s Deepest Aqua Trek Experience’, letting adventurers go 10m (32ft) to the bottom of its lagoon filled with marine life.
With two daily sessions taking place at 1pm and 4pm, up to four people will descend a ladder to the depths of one of the biggest, open-air aquariums in the world, coming face-to-face with more than 65,000 marine animals including sharks, stingrays, and schools of multi-coloured fish.
Trekkers will only need to bring their swimmers, as they’ll be provided towels, wetsuits, equipment, footwear and of course the Aquatrak helmet, providing a continuous supply of air down below.
The experience operates in 27 countries across five continents, but this is the first time that it will reach a depth of 10m. It'll set you back Dhs720.
“We are all incredibly excited by the latest addition to The Ambassador Lagoon which, yet again, proves that Atlantis, The Palm remains at the forefront of innovation,” said director of The Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis, The Palm Natasha Christie
“We can’t emphasise strongly enough how passionate we all are about the marine environment, and this technology allows visitors the opportunity to share our passion for the resort’s remarkable aquatic life and to learn more about their habitat.”
