Dubai Fitness Challenge 2019: free underwater yoga and stand-up paddleboarding

Dubai Fitness Challenge 2019 is well underway, and if you’re after some more ways to get as fit as a fiddle, Atlantis The Palm has a few things to do.

Dubai's Palm Jumeirah’s resort a launched a month-long list of fitness activities to get your 30 minutes of exercise a day, and they’re completely free to do.

Until Saturday November 16, those doing the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2019 can take on underwater yoga, group fitness classes, stand-up paddle boarding, surf sessions and more without paying a dirham.

Highlights of Atlantis The Palm's Dubai Fitness Challenge 2019 schedule include a free yoga class every Sunday from 7.45am until 9am at The Lost Chambers Aquarium (October 27 and November 10) and Atlantis’ Royal Beach (November 3). The hour-long sessions will alternate between the locations each week, and are for yogis of all skill levels.

Fancy catching some waves? Aquaventure Waterpark will be hosting private ‘Surf’s Up’ lessons for five surfers from Thursdays to Saturdays at 8.45am until 9.30am. Using its Waverider that makes ‘realistic waves’, this one is for the pro surfers to the knee-boarders.

There’s also a 5km family wellness walk along the Palm Jumeirah Boardwalk on Friday November 1 to get the whole family involved. Registration is from 6am, with the walk taking place at 7am onwards. The early bird gets the worm.

Atlantis, The Palm will also have 30-minute stand-up paddle boarding every Monday and Wednesday from 10am until 11am, and if you like a good rally, the resort is also offering free access to its tennis courts.

There are plenty of fitness activities to get involved with throughout Dubai, including a chance to take a class with The Body Coach, Joe Wicks.
