Dubai Shopping Festival: LEGO Festival and massive firework shows

Dubai Shopping Festival is in full flow and heaps of fun events have been taking place across the city. It all kicked off with a massive free concert on Boxing Day and there’s been loads of fun events since.

We’ve seen dazzling fireworks across the city and The Beach, Al Seef, La Mer, Dubai Festival City, The Frame and The Pointe. And they’re set to continue throughout the month all the way through to the final day on Saturday February 1. To see where the upcoming dates are, click here.

One of the most impressive fireworks displays this week was at Dubai Festival City, combined with a huge IMAGINE laser show. We’ve rounded up a gallery of photos from the event here.

Also at Dubai Festival City this week has been the region's first, not to mention world's largest, LEGO Festival. We went down to check it out – see our gallery here.

It runs until Saturday March 14, and you can get your hands on over one million LEGO bricks in order to build remarkable creations.

Little kids and big kids alike can show off their master building skills at 11 themed zones across the shopping mall for Dhs29.99.

But the brick-tastic fun doesn't stop there. Little LEGO fans can watch their LEGO Ninjago heroes come to life in a 3D show complete with lasers and water, absolutely free.

The IMAGINE Show will be taking place every day outside at Festival Bay.

This week Light Art DXB also launched – an outstanding interactive light installation at Emaar’s Burj Plaza. It launched on Tuesday (January 7) and will run until Saturday February 1.

Famed singer Lolita Milyavskaya, known more commonly by her stage name Lolita, performed live at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah on Tuesday January 7, too.

DSF Surprises are well underway now too, with a different deal every day. Keep an eye on for daily deals.
