If you’re looking for an excuse to get back to Dubai’s indoor rainforest, we’ve got one word for you: anteater.

The Green Planet is now the home of the UAE’s first tamandua anteater.

The little anteater (tamandua is a small type of anteater) is just two years old and is yet to be named.

The Green Planet is getting ready for animal-lovers to learn more about him, and like all animals at the City Walk attraction, he has an important role to play in educating UAE residents about our planet and all the different types of wildlife that inhabit it.

Future plans for the tamandua anteater include exclusive interaction programmes, where The Green Planet’s biologists will share facts and findings on his progress at his new home.

This anteater has a bright and happy future at The Green Planet, and like all of the animals that call the indoor rainforest home, he will become an ambassador for his species as he represents tropical animals from around the world that are in trouble due to habitat loss, deforestation, pollution and CO2 emissions.

To keep up with his journey, along with over 3,000 plants and animals that also call The Green Planet home, you can book your tickets here.

The indoor rainforest is also offering a free breakfast or lunch with every entry ticket at its all-new rainforest-themed Green Planet Café – find out more here.
