Dubai toll gate locations and how to set up your Salik

Where are the Dubai toll gates?

If you’re driving around the city you'll need to be aware of where the Dubai toll gates are. There are a total of eight toll gates in Dubai, across roads from Jebel Ali to Dubai Airport. You'll need to pay to get through these Salik gates, but you can do that easily.

Setting up your Salik

To sign up for your Salik, go online to buy a tag. You can then stick your Salik tag to your windshield, add credit and you're able to pass through the Dubai toll gates with ease. Each Dubai Salik gate will automatically deduct the payment.

You can register, buy a tag and recharge all your credit by heading to www.salik.gov.ae, or via the Smart Salik App available in the Apple Store and Google Play store.

A Salik tag costs Dhs100 to set up, which includes Dhs50 for your Salik tag and Dhs50 for a pre-paid toll balance. If you buy online there is a Dhs20 delivery charge too.

If you have more than one vehicle registered under your name, you will only have one Salik account. You can check your unpaid balance by logging onto your account on the Salik website.  If you sell your vehicle, you need to remove Salik tag from the sold vehicle and deactivate the tag from your Salik account immediately. If you update your license plate, you just need to update the information in your account.
