If you’ve never been to Ninive, located on the lower tier of Jumeirah Emirates Towers, you’re missing out on an al fresco jewel in the heart of Downtown Dubai. Designed to be a combination of hanging garden and caravanserai, outdoor venue Ninive has echoes of authentic Bedouin chic with cool, urban city vibes.
It’s the perfect setting for a relaxing evening, complete with dishes that hail from all over the region. The food is all served on beautifully crafted pottery, created by hand by potters especially for the venue. Shisha is also available.
The unique dining experience is set under the stars with twinkling views of DIFC. The menu takes inspiration from a range of tastes and preferences, but the Middle Eastern and North African flavours of Ninive shine through, with dishes hailing from Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Morocco. The à la carte menu features some sublime starters such as zaatar chickpea dip and tamarind chicken, masterful mains like lobster tagine and grilled octopus skewers, plus sharing concept dishes like tashreeb – or slow cooked lamb shoulder – and grilled Wagyu tomahawk with roasted zucchini, kaskaval cheese and dukkah.
If you’re more into sweet things, then traditional umm ali with vanilla ice cream, Turkish baklava and, international options like chocolate and caramel tart are available to enjoy while looking across the skyline views of Dubai Downtown.
