Easter in Dubai 2020: top ways to celebrate

Easter (Sunday April 12) is fast approaching and here in Dubai there are loads of ways to celebrate over the weekend.

Even though this year you can't go out in Dubai to celebrate, there are loads of ways to have a fantastic time at home.

Whether you’re looking for chocolate for breakfast, eggs made of cheese or a proper roast to celebrate Easter this year, you can do it all from the comfort of your home in Dubai.

Order in flowers from BloomingBox

Luxe florist service, BloomingBox, is offering a ten percent discount on all cakes and assorted seasonal chocolates this Easter for orders made by 4pm on Thursday April 9. Cakes include the Oreo red velvet, mocha popcorn, kunafa cheesecake, banana pudding cake and more. The home-grown online florist also sells plants, scented candles and diffusers and offers same-day delivery in Dubai and next-day delivery to the rest of the emirates, as well as free delivery throughout April 2020.

Brownie Point

An Easter basket filled with candy and other sweet treats is exactly what we want to wake up to when celebrating Easter, and Brownie Point has just the basket. It’s limited-time new Easter menu across all UAE outlets includes chocolate Easter eggs, marzipan Easter eggs, Easter cupcakes, cake pops and much more.

Have a roast dinner from The Duck Hook

Easter is also about spending time with your family and eating a slap-up roast. British gastropub, The Duck Hook, has you covered this Easter, offering roast dinner for delivery until Sunday April 12. There’s options including roast beef, which comes with a prime rib of beef, Yorkshire puddings, horseradish sauce and beef gravy, or a whole roast baby chicken with sage and onion stuffing balls, veal sausages wrapped in veal bacon, cranberry sauce and chicken gravy. And, there’s a homemade chocolate Easter egg filled with sweets for an extra Dhs15. We’re in.
Dhs265 (roast for two), Dhs325 (roast for two with dessert), Dhs495 (roast for four), Dhs595 (roast for four with dessert), Dhs665 (roast for six), Dhs795 (roast for six with dessert). Dig into Easter cookies from London Dairy Café

Think of yourself as a cookie monster? For Easter, London Dairy Café is offering specialty Easter cookies with every order over Dhs50. What to get to get it over the mark? While there are all-day breakfast dishes to choose from, there are also hot cross buns to gobble up, with six for Dhs40. Better yet, order through Chatfood here and you can save 25 percent on food delivery. Not a bad way to save cash.
From Dhs50 (added Easter cookies). Thu Apr 9-Sun April 19 (04 352 5473).

Who needs to go on an Easter egg hunt in Dubai when the eggs will be coming straight to you? To celebrate Easter, boutique dessert shop Looshi’s has teamed up with Deliveroo to offer limited-edition cake POPS in the shape of an egg. Fitting. Until Sunday April 12, the POPS come in a shape of an Easter egg, and will be decorated in colourful icing and edible paint.

Marks & Spencer

British giant M&S is getting ready for Easter with the launch of cheese Easter eggs in two Dubai stores – for those who prefer cheese to chocolate eggs. The packs, which contain six “eggs” in an actual egg carton, will set you back Dhs99 each, with each egg containing a cheddar egg “white” and a red Leicester “yolk”. Because Easter isn’t just for the chocolate-lovers out there.
Dhs99. Available in multiple locations including Springs Souk and Marina Walk.

Reform Social & Grill

A roast, quiz, brunch and Easter all in one day? Seems impossible, but Reform Social & Grill has it all planned out. Taking place this Friday (April 10) between 1pm and 3pm with an Easter theme, quizzers can expect general knowledge questions and interactive rounds, including a ‘guess this tune’ round.
Expect a traditional British roast delivered to your door and you can also pre-order an Easter egg painting kit to be included in your delivery for an extra Dhs60.
Dhs180 (two people), Dhs280 (four people). Fri Apr 10, 1pm-3pm, www.reformsocialgrill.ae (052 794 1117).

For Dhs30, celebrators will get five mini-cupcakes delivered straight to their door when ordering through Deliveroo or Chatfood. What kind of flavours can you expect?
