A familiar face on Dubai’s pop-up food circuit, Maiz Tacos set up a permanent location in JLT last year, one of the city’s best and most diverse hubs for independent restaurants and cafés. It’s a minimalist space – one not unlike certain Mexican eateries to have come before it, with birch-hued benches and neon signs on its pastel walls. And if you love tacos, which is probably why you’re visiting, there are heaps to choose from including the slow-roasted chicken and pickled onions in the pollo asado, El Jefe – a six-hour marinated pulled Angus chuck with chimichurri or the battered fish versions. There are also veggie and vegan options as well as bowls, and, of course, guac.
Cluster Y, JLT.
Time Out Tabs are on sale now for Maiz Tacos priced at:

What is Time Out Tabs?
As the impact of COVID-19 bites on local businesses, Time Out Dubai and ITP Media Group have launched a new community initiative in support of home-grown restaurants in Dubai.
So, how does it work? Time Out Tab allows customers to help keep much-loved local eateries in business by purchasing credit in advance, which can then be redeemed at your chosen restaurant between September 1, 2020 and December 30, 2020.
In short, buy now, eat later, love local.
Time Out Tabs are currently available for ten restaurants, and each Tab gives you additional value back to redeem from September.
