If you love castles, haggis and Loch Ness monsters (maybe) then we have some great news for you.

Emirates has launched a new flight direct to Edinburgh and we are saying “aye” to the special fares on offer from the airline.

In honour of the new flight path – passengers can get reduced rate tickets to the Scottish destination, with prices starting at Dhs2,495.

Flights start on Monday October 1 and passengers in the UAE can book cheap fares on all economy and business class travel up until Monday September 10 for flights between Monday October 1 and Friday May 31 2019.

Economy class tickets start from Dhs2,495 and business class tickets start from Dhs13,165, and the new daily service will be operated by an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER in a three-class configuration.

You can also book with Emirates Holidays and enjoy a five-star holiday experience for an additional spend starting at Dhs1,173 per person, exclusive of the airfare.

Flight EK023 will depart Dubai daily at 9.55am and arrive in Edinburgh at 2.50pm, while the return flight, EK024 will depart Edinburgh at 8.15pm and arrive in Dubai at 6.40am the next morning.

The flight will hold 304 economy seats, 43 lie flat seats in business class and right private suites in first class if you’re pushing the boat out.
Edinburgh is the airline’s second destination in Scotland after Glasgow and its eighth in the UK.

The Scottish capital is the second most visited city in the UK, with special mention going to the city’s Old Town and New Town, which are both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is also the first city in the world to be designated a UNESCO city of Literature.
