Escape to Shanghai with three new direct flights

China Eastern launch non-stop route from Dubai this month

Fancy travelling to China but don't want with the additional stress of indirect flights?

Well, worry no more as China Eastern are rolling out three weekly non-stop flights between Shanghai and Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Scheduled to begin on Monday, September 17, the non-stop route will be a game changer for anyone fearing a weary layover with a large family in tow.

The new journey will make travelling easier and provide a greater number of flight options between the two destinations, in addition to the already existing flights between Shanghai and Dubai that have a stopover in Kunming.

Currently, only Emirates operate direct flights between Dubai and China’s biggest city.

The announcement comes with the hopes of boosting UAE-China connectivity, and build on the growing number of Chinese tourists – with more than 2.2million visiting in 2017.

However, if a quick trip to see Shanghai’s stunning waterfront skyline doesn’t take your fancy, don’t miss our list of 18 incredible destinations for a short escape here.
