Skyscanner survey reveals cheapest day to fly out of UAE

Planning your next holiday destination? You’ll definitely want to hear what Skyscanner has to say about booking your next flight.

According to its latest survey, the travel search site has announced that Thursdays are the cheapest day of the week to fly out of the UAE.

Compiling data from last year, Skyscanner revealed travellers could save more than ten percent by switching from a Friday departure day, the most expensive say to fly out, to a Thursday departure day.

It also showed that it’s “significantly cheaper” to travel a day before or after travellers original departure dates.

Saturdays are the best time to book you flight, as data showed travellers could save two per cent on average flight prices by booking on Saturday over a Wednesday – the most expensive day to book.

The travel search site also released other tips on flying, stating that while Sunday April 1 was the busiest day for outbound flights from the UAE in 2018, Thursdays are usually the busiest on average.

As for the best value destinations for 2019, Salalah in Oman lead the list with a 40 percent price drop, followed by Las Vegas with 21 percent and Muscat with 14 percent.
