Dubai road renamed to mark Expo 2020

Motorists of Dubai, take note. The city is renaming one of its roads, so prepare to hear Expo Road on that navigator.

HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has ordered Jebel Ali Lehbab Road to be renamed to “Expo Road”, according to the Dubai Media Office.

The road passes through a few hotspots, including The Sevens, Dubai Investment Park and Tiger Woods Dubai – an 18-hole, par 72, 7,400 yard championship golf course and clubhouse that is set to open in the future.

Dubai’s hugely anticipated Expo 2020 is set to officially open near the Al Maktoum International Airport, right next to the newly named road.

More than 25 million people, 70 percent being tourists, are expected to visit the city over the course of the six-month event, so the renamed Jebel Ali Lehbab Road to Expo Road is sure to make navigating easier.

You can check out all you need to know about Expo 2020 below.

If you’re further out that way, you may want to check out this tiny desert café that’s only open for three hours a day. Talk about secret.
