It's about to get easier than ever to visit Oman – with a new public bus running from Dubai to Muscat three times a day.

Route 201 will operate from Abu Hail Bus Station at 7.30am, 3.30pm and 11pm, with the full journey taking six hours.

It will stop at Airport Terminal 2 at 7.45am, 3.45pm and 11.15pm, as well as Rashidiya Bus Station 15 minutes later.

And even better, the price for a one-way trip is just Dhs55 – with a return coming in at Dhs90.

Every bus has free WiFi on board and can accommodate up to 50 passengers – and RTA is even looking at integrating Nol card payment in the future.

Ahmed Bahrozyan, chief executive of the RTA's Public Transport Agency, said: "We have enhanced the existing Dubai-Muscat route by adding the three stations that belong to the RTA.

"This means, the passengers will have better service because these stations are connected to multiple modes of transport, meaning commuters can take the taxi or Metro to continue their journey."

"The collaboration will enhance customer experience and increase the ridership between the countries using public buses.

"Initially, there will be three trips daily but we can increase the number of trips depending on demand."

Oman is now easier to get to, but there are also loads of other brilliant destinations you can reach from Dubai.

That includes everywhere from Amsterdam to Boryspil in Ukraine – as well as destinations such as India and Croatia.
