Oktoberfest arrives on Emirates in-flight dining menu

Airline to mark the Bavarian celebrations with special food and original German hops

Oktoberfest arrives on Emirates in-flight dining menu

Oktoberfest is here, well and truly (and in case you missed it, we’ve rounded up the best places in Dubai to celebrate this year, right here).

And we wouldn’t at all blame you if you were planning a trip to Munich itself to go and celebrate the Bavarian tradition in some style. Well, if you were to do so, in fact if you were to fly anywhere in Germany between Saturday September 21 and Sunday October 6, Emirates is going to treat passengers to an Oktoberfest feast.

It doesn’t matter which class or cabin you’re in either, because all passengers will be offered a Germanic meal option and authentic hops from the European country. If you’re in first and business class, you’ll be treated to some traditional hops from one of the six main providers to the original Munich Oktoberfest, served in a stein in the on-board lounge. You’ll also get classic German snacks including pretzels, gingerbread, sarnies and more. The dining options in first class include chicken sausages, mashed potato and Sauerkraut, with Leberkäse (a German form of meatloaf). In economy class, you’ll get your hands on Leberkäse, spätzle (pasta), beef goulash and loads more.

So, ready to book your trip to Germany and get the party started early?
