Travellers advised to arrive three hours early for UAE National Day weekend flights

Getting ready to travel abroad during the UAE National Day long weekend? Those looking to hop on a plane are encouraged to leave plenty of time as Dubai International Airport (DXB) is expected to be super-busy.

Dubai-based airline Emirates is anticipating an extremely busy weekend, with close to 200,000 Emirates passengers making their way through Terminal 3.

Peak travel is expected to start on Thursday November 28 in the afternoon until Thursday December 5, so make sure to factor in some extra travel time for those long waits.

Emirates advises travellers to arrive at least three hours early to avoid any delays.

Passengers are also advised to use Emirates' Home Check-in service, and can even start the check-in process and drop off their bags at The Dubai Mall.
