Dubai’s dnata launches home COVID-19 tests for fliers

Flying from Dubai and need a COVID-19 test? dnata’s DUBZ baggage logistics arm has partnered up with Mediclinic to help passengers get everything they need without leaving their homes.

In addition to home check-in DUBZ is now offering COVID-19 testing to help travellers complete their check-in process, with certificates delivered within 24 to 48 hours of testing, which can be done at home or at a location of the customer’s choosing in Dubai.

Trained medical professionals from Mediclinic will perform the swab tests, while results are shared digitally with passengers, and all those testing negative will receive a medical certificate for their journey.

DUBZ provides four different check-in packages, which include checking passengers in for their flights, printing boarding passes, weighing and tagging baggage. Additional services include baggage being treated with disinfectant, and the marhaba service once at the airport, using which travellers are fast-tracked through immigration.

All marhaba and DUBZ staff where gloves and a mask, and abide by social distancing guidelines issued by the authorities.

Home check-in services can be booked online, with prices starting from Dhs199 for basic check-in and delivery, through to Dhs659 including at-home COVID-19 testing (excluding the test cost). The service is available from 8am to 9pm every day of the week.

DUBZ services can also be booked through its dedicated concierge kiosk in The Dubai Mall, open daily from 10am to 10pm.
