4 reasons you should visit Kempinski Hotel Ajman

Just a little outside of Dubai, in the neighbouring Emirate of Ajman, lies the private beach resort of the Kempinski Hotel Ajman. Driving for roughly 30 minutes along Sheikh Zayed Road, away from Downtown Dubai, you’ll find this five-star, luxury complex designed to entice you in for the weekend, and get away from the buzz of the city.

The beach resort plays host to a 500-metre-long white sand private beach, a private swimming pool with accompanying kids’ pool and a whole bunch of watersports to try out.

Here, we look at four reasons to head over to the UAE’s smallest Emirate for a weekend getaway.

The beach

As well as Dubai’s iconic metropolitan jungle (Dubai is now officially home to 20 percent of the world’s skyscrapers), incredible hidden wonders exist just beyond the borders of the Emirate. The Kempinski Hotel Ajman possesses this magnificent 500 metre-long white sand private beach, complete with hammocks, palm trees and crystal clear ocean waters. Take your pick from one of 250 sunbeds running along the Arabian Golf. It’s time to get chill.

The pool

If the beach isn’t your sort of thing, perhaps having a day relaxing by the Kempinski’s enormous swimming pool is more to your taste. From 10am to 7pm the outdoor pool offers up a large, sit-up pool bar, which serves some wonderfully refreshing mixed drinks. If you’re slightly further afield from the sit-up bar, just wave down one of the colourful beach biggies serving food and beverages throughout the day. A vast array of private cabanas, sun loungers and beds are available all day too.

The massages

Because sometimes you just need to be pampered. A 60-minute Balinese or Aroma Therapy massage alongside your significant other should do just the trick to undo those muscular knots built up through the busy working week. Have your massage down on the beach to unwind with the serene sounds of the rolling sea.

Or the water sports

It isn’t always about kicking back and doing nothing for a weekend, and why would you want to when there are so many water sports to enjoy just off the coast? Water skiing is one of the coolest water-based sports you can do, and it usually features pretty highly on most people’s bucket list. Take to the seas with water skiing, paddleboarding, sailing, windsurfing or even parasailing.
