More than 100,000 people will pass through DXB this weekend

Avoid delays with advice from Emirates for travel this Eid weekend

Game of Thrones

If you’re planning an Eid getaway this weekend, this is essential advice from Emirates.

The airline has warned passengers that this could well be the busiest weekend of the year at DXB Terminal 3, with more than 106,000 passengers set to travel through the airport – according to its latest figures.

Friday June 23 will see nearly 40,000 passengers depart through the terminal, and passengers planning on heading to the airport have been advised to arrive at least three hours before departure.

The Eid weekend also coincides with continued road works and construction around the area, so traffic congestion heading through Garhoud is likely to cause further delays to proceedings.

With ongoing electronic security issues, a number of passengers travelling may be flying for the first time since the US imposed the devices ban on UAE airlines, and as such are strongly advised to pack electronic devices in checked baggage before arriving at the airport.
