Emirates and flydubai codeshare routes announced

Emirates Skywards members can now get airmiles on flydubai routes

Following the news that Emirates and flydubai have taken their partnership up a level, the first joint flights have been announced.

We reported back in July that Dubai’s two biggest airlines have joined forced, to share flights and promising better customer experience all-round. Emirates confirmed that the partnership will increase the number of unique destinations it serves to 216, up from 157. For the world’s top airline, the hope is that Skywards members will be able to get a bunch more airmiles from routes they previously wouldn’t be able to get them from.

Now, the first routes sharing flight codes have been announced, and Emirates has already expanded its network to 29 flydubai destinations across three continents.

From today (October 3) onwards, passengers can book through Emirates on to flydubai flights to Eastern Europe, Iran, India, and Oman, with Emirates not previously flying these routes.
