British Airways launches massive sale for UAE residents

Two thirds of workers here had leftover holiday at the end of 2017

British Airways has launched a huge sale for UAE residents - with a survey revealing that two thirds of workers here had leftover leave at the end of last year.

The airline is offering return flights to London starting at Dhs2,375 and to Paris for as little as Dhs2,525.

Of course, if you're looking for a break with a shorter flight time, we've got plenty of suggestions here at Time Out Dubai.

Our city is close to a whole host of exciting nearby destinations including Jordan, Oman and other emirates like Abu Dhabi.

Or if you fancy, you could even take a road trip across the UAE - we've got loads of recommendations for that too.

But every so often, you just need to head home for a dose of that delightful British weather.

Before launching the sale, British Airways commissioned research which revealed that a third of UAE residents feel they are too busy to take time off work for travel.

More than one in five people also feel guilty when they use their full holiday allowance, the global survey of 1,000 employed adults revealed.

Additionally, 31 per cent of working residents actively choose not to go on a two-week break, fearing the amount of work that would pile up in their absence.

However, UAE residents are reportedly enjoying more holidays than the global norm with a whopping six getaways abroad per year on average.

While the UAE-based survey participants may be holidaying more frequently per year, with - 55 per cent of respondents claiming they only go on holidays for less than two weeks.

Meanwhile 63 per cent wished they spent longer in their destination and 25 per cent claimed they didn’t see everything they wanted to.
