Flydubai launches direct flights from Dubai to Helsinki

The year-round service will be the first direct route to the Finnish city

How would you fancy a long weekend in a seaside city surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful scenic islands?

It sounds thousands of miles away from Dubai – and it is – but with Flydubai’s new service it’s easy to do and won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

The low-cost airline has revealed plans to launch direct flights from Dubai to Helsinki from October 11, and we can’t wait to hit the sauna.

The airline has said it will be the first to offer a year-round service between Dubai International Airport and Helsink-Vantaa Airport with a flight that will take approximately six-and-a-half hours each way.

Return economy class fares will start at Dhs1,500, with an introductory rate of Dhs1300 on bookings made up until May 31.

Helsinki is a city packed with wondrous architecture. The Finnish capital winds around Baltic bays and islands – and even has its own sea fortress.

The bustling market town is awash with modern culture and design and the food scene is bursting with northern European flavours.

As well as Helsinki, Flydubai hasve added several other new destinations to its list, including Krakow and Croatia.

If you haven’t booked your winter holiday yet it’s a deal worth considering. And don’t forget to pick up a copy of Time Out DXB at the airport.
From Dhs1,500 (return economy class). From October 11, 2018.
