Vietnam is a popular holiday destination for people staying or living in Dubai.
Particularly over the warmer summer months, many decide to make the trip – with Ho Chi Minh City a seven-hour flight away.
And now, tourists should be able to visit for a much longer period than ever before.
That’s because the Vietnamese government has prolonged the duration of e-visas granted to foreign tourists so you can stay for three months.
Previously available for a maximum of 30 days, the move makes it significantly easier to travel and stay around the picturesque nation.
The e-visa will be valid for single-entry or multiple entries.
Vietnam visa: How to apply online
- For single-entry or multiple-entry, simply fill in the online form here.
- Pay your visa fee. These costs vary – but for single-entry visas, it will set you back $17 (approx. Dhs62) for one month or $25 (approx. Dhs92) for three months.
- Once you receive your approval letter (normally within two business days), print it out in colour and bring it to Vietnam with you.
- Complete an Entry/Exit form – available at one of Vietnam’s four international airports (Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City or Nha Trang) or via a download from the government website.
- Get your visa stamp on arrival by presenting your approval letter, passport, photos and cash payment of $25 (approx. Dhs92) for a stamping fee.
Vietnam visa: Make sure you…
- Have six months of validity remaining on your passport at the date of your arrival in Vietnam.
- Have plenty of blank pages on your passport for visa stamps before you leave.
- Prepare at least two passport photos (4cm x 6cm).
