If you’re Emirati, you can apply for the special permit online – via the RTA website.
All you need to apply is show a copy of your Emirates ID, a valid Ejari and proof of vehicle ownership.
The number of free permits you are eligible for depends on the size of your house.
A property with a room and hall or studio gets you two permits, two rooms and a hall gets you three permits while one with three rooms and a hall gets you four permits.
The application process takes two working days. It has to be approved and the permit will be sent via email.
Seasonal parking permits, available for all residents, come in two categories:
Category A permits can be used in paid parking zones A, B, C and D.
Category B permits can be used in paid parking zones B and D.
